Kelly Otter is a leader in higher education, having served in academic dean roles at private and state-supported colleges and research Universities. Areas of expertise include academic program and curriculum development, organization development, and strategic enrollment management. She has held director and dean positions at Georgetown University, Northeastern University, the University of Pittsburgh, New York University, and the College of New Rochelle. She has developed academic and student support programs for undergraduate and graduate students, specializing in technology-mediated and professionally-oriented programs, as well as veteran students.
Conference presentations and publication topics include academic program development, global strategy, enrollment management and strategic marketing, organization development, online education, and learning in retirement. She has written blog articles and published in the areas of online education, faculty development, and the role of higher education in supporting veteran students.
Dr. Otter serves on the New York University Alumni Association Board, and is a board member of the University Professional and Continuing and Education Association (UPCEA), for which she also served as past chair of the conference planning committee. She has taught courses in speech and media studies in the Department of Communication at the University of Pittsburgh and in the Department of Journalism at New York University.
